Our Vision -
 A refreshingly simple approach

Our level of commitment
A few years ago I was renovating the bathroom of our then house built in 1918. As with any renovation, there were endless details. We were in the final stages of what seemed like an eternity of dust and decisions and all I wanted was for it to be done!

I had taken off the door to be painted. I also wanted to restore the original glass knobs and latch and noticed the hinges had been painted over with what seemed to be 25 coats of paint.

I removed them and began peeling and scraping away the layers…

Beneath the decades of stories and lives lived in our home, I found the original color and texture of the metal used to make the hinges. I was in love! For the next week, each evening down in the shop, I meticulously and carefully removed every remnant of paint from each hinge, pin, and screw. I was smitten with the contrast of rich, aged metal with an ultra white door and trim.
Hinges matter
noun \hinge\: Essential mechanism often invisible to the eye to open a door and to enter a home.

I removed them and began peeling and scraping away the layers. Beneath the decades of stories and lives lived in our home, I found the original color and texture of the metal used to make the hinges. I was in love!

That experience awakened in me how much I value quality.

I knew I could drive over to Home Depot and pick up 4 new hinges with brushed nickel or even brass, but there was something deeply meaningful in the process and end result for me.

In my real estate career, I’ve seen the myriad of ways agents and brokers arrange teams and brokerages to maximize volume and profit. I don’t think there’s a right or wrong way to do things, but I certainly have a preference. At ToFT we are committed to quality and excellence. I know we won’t be the biggest, but we strive to be the best. I’ve trained and lead a top producing team in one of the largest brokerages in the country, and it wasn’t all bad. But, I’ve learned what I consider essential to providing the highest level of service to our clients, and I’ve committed to that moving forward.
